Grading
Work by: Katherine Jamieson
This 6 part BBC3 comedy sees comedian Romesh Ranganathan sent by his mother to his parents’ homeland of Sri Lanka in an attempt to connect him with his roots. The show was so much fun creatively to grade because as well as making it all look beautiful and lush in Sri Lanka, we also used the grade heavily to enhance the humour.
There were regular little vignettes of slow motion interludes inspired by hip hop videos of the 90s that were particularly fun, culminating in a brilliant full blown music video at the end of episode six. All the armoury in Nucoda’s weaponry was manipulated and played with and I had an absolute ball grading it.
