Sound Design / Mix

A scripted comedy that flashed in and out of ‘parody’, the sound design/mix in Flat TV really helped it to ‘pop’. These ‘parody’ sections had to match original shows (such as I’m A Celebrity, The Cube and Sherlock) as accurately as possible. This need to imitate required a reversal of our approach to sound work, i.e. instead of creating something unique, we had to imitate. It was a challenging task requiring some trial and error, but the end-results were incredibly satisfying. During the sessions we found an approach to mixing these transistions that added to the comedy and really helped the ‘parodies’ burst in and out.
