Halo have teamed up with Documentary Filmmaker, Michael Waldman for this 3 part series for BBC2 which takes a close look at the work of foreign embassies and profiling some of the staff who deal with the thousands of Britons abroad who seek their help for all sorts of reasons, be it fleeing a forced marriage or winding up in a foreign jail.
With incredible access to ministers, top civil servants and diplomats this compelling and at times humorous series follows the lives of those working both at home and abroad to represent and protect Britons and British interests worldwide.
‘Going behind the scenes of the Foreign Office involved the usual challenges of a observational documentary’, says Colourist Paul Koren, ‘There were times when colour temperatures and exposure changes needed to be smoothed out as the camera follows its subjects. DVO Clarity was used to reduce the extra video noise when opening up the exposure of the scenes’.
