Killer Ratings recounts the story of Wallace Souza, the outspoken host of Canal Livre, a sensational and often brutal News TV show, broadcast in a remote and lawless city in Brazil’s Amazon region, known for its reporters’ ability to be the first at the scene of every grizzly story. Souza was later elected State Representative, but soon after was accused of having ordered the very murders his show was so famous for exclusively reporting. With a task force formed to build a case against Souza, can he ever be brought to justice when corroborating witnesses seem to mysteriously wind up dead? The series makes use of exclusive interviews with people inside Canal Livre, close relatives, friends, police and task force members, as well as previously unseen footage of Souza filmed in the middle of the scandal, to tell the incredible story.

We made sure the moments of tension built and the dramatic reveals were amplified and punctuated with bold, cinematic effects. We always had the same goal, to reflect the true purpose of each scene and the emotion of each moment. This results in a dynamic, free-flowing soundtrack, full of suspicion and shock.’’
